Update: I have had my spay surgery and my eye surgery and I now look like a normal dog. No more ugly red bump by my eye! They are going to get me some new pics soon. I am now ready to go to my new home. Could that be you?

Hi! My name is Cherry and I am a 10 month old, about 40 pound. shepherd mixed girl who just came from the pound to the rescue today. I had been there for most of a week and I was REALLY needing some exercise but after a good run they found I am a very sweet girl and a cuddler too. I will probably need a fenced yard and another dog to run and play with would be a good idea too. They also found out that I am a natural fetcher. I don't think anyone ever worked with me but I will bring the ball or the toy back to you every time you throw it. I just have to be taught to drop or give it to you but I have a soft mouth and will let you take it to throw again right now. I ride well in the car and also get along with other dogs and cats. I am living with several other dogs now and I move from one to the next to play with as they get tired.I am a puppy after all.I really like kids too!

Maybe you can see in my picture, I have what is known as a "cherry" eye where there is a little red ball of tissue sticking out by one of my eyes. Makes me look bad but it is easily fixed by the vet when I go in to be spayed which I will get done in the next few days. I am already up to date on my shots and tested negative for heart worms.
