Hi, I am JJ.  My owner had to work long hours and didn't have the time to take care of me so he took me to the dog warden's shelter.   While there, we found out I had heart worms.  I have been treated for that and am recovering nicely in my new foster home with Rose's Rescue. I'm grateful to them for getting me the treatment I needed to go on with my life! I have a few more weeks on light duty (leash walking) and will soon be able to run and play!

I am a pit bull mix.  When my foster asked the vet what she thought I was mixed with, the vet said cuteness, so I am now classified as a pit bull/cuteness mix. I am a people lover for sure.  My owner said I lived with other dogs, cats and kids and was good with everyone.  I haven't been allowed to run and play like a normal dog while recovering from the heart worm treatment so I have a lot of energy built up.  Once I can run around and go for longer walks, my foster mom thinks I will calm down.

 I love to be with my people so a home where I don't have to be alone for long hours would be best for me.  I am also housebroken and I'm learning some manners, like not jump when I get excited.  My foster mom says I'm eager to please so I take to training well.  I would love to be your new best friend if you would give me a chance.
