UPDATE: Bassie currently has an adoption pending! It looks like she will be officially adopted very soon!
My name’s Bassie - it’s an old Irish nickname for Elizabeth, kind of like Bessie but with an ‘a.’ I’m a super sweet beagle girl who has had a pretty rough life up until recently. I came to RR with a really bad tooth infection, a heart murmur, and a pregnancy that wasn’t meant to be. I’m on medicine for my heart murmur now, which I will need to stay on from here on out, but other than that, I’m all fixed up and ready to be loved and spoiled by a brand new human of my very own. I take two meds for my heart murmur. One is a small amount of lasix, which is very inexpensive. The other one is Vetmedin, which can be pricy. You can find it online for about $80 for 50 tablets (I think they are treats) and I take one a day. If you are a savvy shopper, you can get a generic equivalent from outside the US for $20-$30 for 30 - less than half the cost!
They think I'm about eight years old, so I’m looking for a cozy place to spend my retirement years I love everyone I meet, and get along just fine with the other canines in my foster home My favorite time of day is mealtime, though I do appreciate naptime, too. I also really love going for car rides with my person or people. I am good on a leash and don’t pull when we go for walks.
If you need a buddy to ride along with you or have a spare spot on your couch next to you for me, I’d love to meet you!
