UPDATE: Herbie has joined the Cell Dog Program. During this program he will be trained by selected inmates who will be overseen by a professional dog trainer. He will attend classes to learn more about house trainHerbie can be visited and even adopted while he is in the Cell Dog program.

Hi, my name is Herbie. It is a good thing I was rescued, because I was a mess! My ears and tail were frostbitten and it burned the hair right off! No one knows yet if the hair will grow back or not. I am so glad to be inside where it is warm!! I am working on my house manners because no one ever taught me. But I am a quick learner and want to please. My foster mommy loves to snuggle me. I am about 20 pounds right now so, full grown, I will probably be under 30 lbs. They are guessing I am about 8 months old. I get along with other dogs, cats, and kids.
