UPDATE: Lambchop has joined the Cell Dog Program and is making great progress with becoming socialized and with her housebreaking. While at the prison, she will be trained by selected inmates who will be overseen by a professional dog trainer. She will attend classes to learn more about house training, basic obedience and some fun tricks too! Lambchop can be visited and even adopted while she is in the Cell Dog program.
Hi, My name is Lambchop and I am a puppy mill rescue. I was such a matted filthy mess when I got to the rescue that I had to be completely shaved down. (See my before and after pictures!) I am apx 16 pounds and they think I am about 7 years old. I spent my life in a cage and had no idea what it was like to be free. I have been living with female inmates at the prison, who have taught me what it's like to be taken care of. I now am housetrained up to 5 hours and 8 in my cage. I have learned to play with other dogs and even found out what petting is. In fact, I just love to be held and have my tummy rubbed. I don't even mind being brushed and groomed! I am very calm and would love to have a family and home of my own with a lap or two to sit on. Because of my past experiences, I think a quieter home without young children would be suit me best. Won't you please consider me?
