UPDATE: Aleut has recently joined the cell dog program.  During this program he will be trained by selected inmates who will be overseen by a professional dog trainer. He will attend classes to learn more about house training, basic obedience and some fun tricks too! Aleut can be visited and even adopted while he is in the Cell Dog program.

 

Hi, My name is Aleut and I am an American Eskimo Dog. I am about 2 years old and a nice medium size. I am neutered and up to date on my vaccines. Unfortunately when I came into the pound it was discovered that I was heartworm positive but the rescue is getting me treated and soon I will be as good as new. I am a sweet boy who loves people and gets along with most other dogs. They don't know how I feel about cats yet. American Eskimo are very pretty dogs but they do have a lot of hair and they do shed so they  need frequent brushing. If you aren't willing to put up with some dog hair this guy may not be for you.
