Because Max cannot go to just any home with other dogs, we have designated him as one of our "One and Only" adoptables.  These special dogs are harder to place since so many people are looking to adopt a companion to one they already have rather than an "only child".  He does do ok with some - but definitely not other larger males and possibly not with a good sized alpha female.  With this in mind, we are waiving half of Max's adoption fee in the hopes of finding him a home more quickly.  If you have a home that fits his special criteria, please consider adopting Max, or one of our other One and Only pooches, and keep a little extra money in your pocket to boot! 

 

Hi, My name is Max and I was adopted through Roses Rescue a few years ago and now I am back! My family had a new baby and I didn't understand and so I barked at it. I am really a good guy who loves people and older kids but I don't get those little squirmy  ones.  I am calm, house trained and know all of my basic commands, up to date on my vaccines and neutered.I am a big teddy bear of a guy, who is low maintenance and would just like to sit at your feet.  I look a lot like a Newfie but not quite so big and with shorter legs.  I get along with female dogs and smaller, calmer females at that.I am getting lonely here,because Rose has to keep me separated from the males.If you have room in your home for a very solid and happy go lucky guy like me please fill out the application below so you can come and meet me.
