Meet Leo, another furbaby rescue story if there ever was one.  His foster mama says he was kept in a cat carrier - all the time!  When she first took him in, she bathed him, treated him for fleas, and cut the mats out of his coat as best she could.  She gave him a LARGE kennel in her laundry area and kept the door open for him. It took him three days to venture out and then gradually began to explore and make friends with everyone in the household.  Leo now knows what a dog's life SHOULD be, as he enjoys his foster family (including felines and other canines) and even sleeps on the bed!  He has learned to play and be happy and is now ready for a new life with a forever family, who will continue to love him and help him to forget his difficult past.  

Leo is all set to go!  He has learned to go outside to do his business, and if his foster mom is gone a really long time, he'll use a piddle pad, though she says he prefers to go outside - Good boy, Leo!  He's had a dental (needed a few teeth pulled - not surprising), a trip to the groomer's, and has even put on some needed weight.  His foster mama says he is "Leo, the gentle Lion with the forgiving heart!!"

Because he's just a little guy and has had such a hard life up till now, we are looking for a home for him without young children - so ages 12 and older for this handsome little boy, if you please!
