Chester
Hi. He is doing great. Was outside without a leash today still smelling and looking for cat dodo.
He is eating very well. I had him speaking for treats today. It was funny. First he gave me his paw, and then circled around, and finally learned to speak. Of course every time I said speak, Sadie barked, so she was a good teacher. I started to mix his food with Sadie's so he will not have a big adjustment when his is gone.
I love his bark, this is welcomed, he and her have had a contest. lol
Also there is a race out the door, side by side, who can get out first.
I left them alone tonight. When I got home, he was howling and barking, she
started to bark, which she has never done before. I loved it,
He reminds me so much of my Buddy..
Thanks for making my home complete. Judyl
Cookie
I adopted Novalee (who was originally dubbed Cookie) a couple of years ago. My personal companions had always been Golden Retrievers, but my son had a Jack Russell mix who was a lot of fun, so I took a chance on this Jack Russell. She got her new name because of her somewhat messy appearance. (I thought she looked like "trailer trash." LOL) Anyway she has been a hysterical addition to my family. When my granddaughter was born, she absolutely loved her as you can see by this picture. Novalee twirls like a ballerina for her treats, tears through the house at breakneck speed, pounds her little feet on the floor following me around. She would love to be friends with Jodi my cat, but Jodi just tolerates her. She is death to any rabbit that accidentally comes through the fence and doesn't get out fast enough and she had dragged moles from their holes to their final end! A bit of a high prey instinct in this girl! She is very verbal and will talk and give you a piece of her mind besides making sure everyone knows she is outside by barking at everyone and everything! Better watch your food and drinks, because she is also a bit of a thief! From day 1, she fit in quite well. She is a fun little dog, tolerant and gentle with people, and I am so happy I found her from Rose's Rescue.
