Dandy Dude

Dandy now Ajax: Just thought you’d like to know Ajax is still doing well. The picture is from the backyard.  He’s also started going to daycare on the days I need to go into the office so he doesn’t have to be in his crate now that my husband is going back to school.  Ajax loves it and they said he does really well with the other dogs. He comes home exhausted.

DeeDee

I have no questions.  My experience with rescuing Molly from Rose’s Rescue has been absolutely wonderful.  Everyone that I have dealt with, Linda, for the application review, Carmella, the foster mom to Molly (formerly known as DeeDee), Rose, when Molly was being too aggressive, Tim, the trainer that was a miracle worker that helped me understand that Molly’s aggression is fear based and helped me to understand how to deal with her aggression.  My previous 2 dogs were also rescues, one in 1990 and the other in 2020.  The care and help that I received from Rose’s Rescue is by far, the very best experience that I have had with a Rescue group. The entire team at Rose's Rescue are awesome.  At first I wasn't sure if I would be able to keep Molly, but after meeting with Tim and all of the help that he provided, I decided to go through with the adoption.  Molly is a very loving, affectionate, feisty little dog.  She was a terror on a leash, but for the past month, I keep her in the fenced yard and leash her and walk her to the mailbox to retrieve the mail to get her used to being on the leash. I will attempt more in depth leash training/walking once the weather stays nice.  The only real issue I have at this point with Molly is that she is a maniac trying to get at the chipmunks that have established a home underground in my backyard.  She chases them and digs feverishly at the chipmunk entrance holes trying to get to the little critters.  I have to be with her whenever she is out in the yard, unless I tether her to the 30 foot dog lead that does not reach the chipmunk holes.  It is amazing how fast and deep she can dig within only minutes.  I am hoping that the chipmunks decide to relocate to a neighbors yard in the very near future. I have never had such a loving, cuddly little dog like Molly, she even snuggles her head against me and hugs me.  My last dog was Shadow, a poodle/terrier mix he, was about 10 when I rescued him from the Berea Animal Rescue, I only had him for a little over 2 years, he was a great little old man dog, he loved to be petted. he was a prince on walks, and he was a little treat fiend, but he was not nearly as affectionate as Molly.  I still miss Shadow and I like to believe that Shadow had a paw/hand in guiding me to Molly. Molly makes me laugh and smile every day.  Molly loves her toys, making them squeak, running after them, chasing and chewing them to shreds. She dances all of the time, especially when she wants a treat.  She stands on her hind legs and hops in circles 3 revolutions, sometimes up to 5 turns, it is the most adorable thing I’ve ever seen with a dog. She dances when she is happy and when she wants treats.  When she is finished with her ration of food for the day, she lets me know so that she can have her dessert which is a squirt of whipped cream.

Dusty Buns - Sweet Squinty Boy

Living the good life!

Diesel

Diesel loves certain veggies.  We almost exclusively just feed him dog food, but one day while i was chopping cauliflower a piece fell to the floor and he picked it up.  It looks like false teeth!  So funny

DuffyG
DuffyG

My husband and I felt very well care for by Roses Recue as we made a home for Duffy.  Duffy came into our lives with a bundle of problems - the biggest being anxiety caused aggression.  The rescue and his foster mom went above and beyond to remedy Duffy’s problems.  We have made progress too but we have much to do.  We love him and will continue giving him a forever home.
