HAPPY TAILS!

We love hearing updates about our former rescues from their forever families.  If you have adopted a pet from Rose's Rescue and would like to submit his or her story for our Happy Tails page, please send it to rosesrescuepets@gmail.com, put Happy Tails in the subject line, and don't forget to include a picture!

Gibney

Gibney(we usually just say Gibby) is doing wonderfully well here!  We love her so much even though once in awhile she has a little tif with Izzy, our old pomeranian.  Other than that,  she is so well behaved that we can't believe our luck!  We've had a few rescue dogs and all have been wonderful.  I was hoping that this time wouldn't break our luck streak and it didn't!      Thanks for checking in on us and a great big thank you to all of you who made it possible!

Dixie-LOVES TO PLAY WITH TOYS!

Adopting Vixen/Dixie has been one of the best experiences ever. She is such a lovely dog and I feel so lucky to have her. Also, her foster mom Maureen has been wonderful to meet and keep in touch with.

Dandy Dude

Dandy now Ajax: Just thought you’d like to know Ajax is still doing well. The picture is from the backyard.  He’s also started going to daycare on the days I need to go into the office so he doesn’t have to be in his crate now that my husband is going back to school.  Ajax loves it and they said he does really well with the other dogs. He comes home exhausted.

Cinnamon*

e have gone through basic training classes with her, and we all did well.   Housebreaking is still a work in progress .  She and Bailey, our Chiweenie, get along well almost all the time.  Cinnamon gets into everything so we have learned to keep nothing, like a snack, unattended.  She freaked out at the Vet when they tried to cut her nails, so we were given a medication to calm her and we will try again next week.  The hoarder who had her had probably never had her nails cut and they were EXTREMELY long when we first met her.  They were cut, I believe, when she was spayed, which was a few days before we got her.  Of course, they were still too long and we are slowly trying to get them to a normal length.  Cinnamon loves to snuggle with both my husband and me.  She is a welcome addition to our home.  I think a nickname for her would be “Mischief.”

Leo*

es, Leo is doing great! Thanks for checking in! He’s a fairly busy boy these days! We go for five mile walks each day and longer hikes on the weekend. We attend group training class once a month and he also attends daycare once a month. His separation anxiety is no longer — he is happy to hang out in his crate and enjoy his frozen kong when we are not home but he never goes in without some type of exercise first. He is exceptional with his obedience and we are always trying to increase the distractions to make it harder but he never fails to disappoint! I have attached a lot of pictures.
