Daisy
Hello Rose's Rescue. I wanted to let you know that my sweet Daisy, a RR alum, recently crossed over the rainbow bridge. Her RR name was Vicki and she went through the cell dog program. I adopted her in January 2007. At the time I was told she was between 2-4 years old, but that would have made her 17-19 years old. My guess is she was 16 or 17. She lived a long, healthy life up until the end. In January 2021 she lost one of her eyes due to calcium deposits which caused it to rupture. Earlier this year she was diagnosed with kidney disease and her arthritis got really bad too. Then she started developing the same calcium deposits in her remaining eye. I didn't want her to suffer any more so I made the most difficult decision I've ever made, but I know it was the right one.

Dewey
Hello Rose's Rescue.  We wanted to let you know that our sweet boy, Dewey, a RR alum, recently crossed over the rainbow bridge on Monday October.  Dewey was his RR name and we kept that name.  He was 13 years old. We adopted him in late 2009 at one of RR's adoption event in Stow when he was 6 months old. He was one of Sadie's 10 puppies when Sadie delivered them on June 15, 2009. Dewey lived a great life, enjoyed the times with his mom and dad.  He loved going to Camp Bow Wow during the day while Mom and Dad were at work.    In 2019, Dewey had his first of 3 melanomas removed.  The other 2 times were removed in the last year.  Unfortunately, the cancer spread to his liver.  Along with his arthritic back legs, we made the humane and most difficult decision to put him to sleep.  Dewey passed away very peacefully and was ready to run in the big sky above where we will see him again someday. We are very heartbroken.  Dewey was an amazing dog who was so full of personality and filled our home with lots of love and joy. Thank you to you RR for letting us adopt him all those years ago.  Here are some of our favorite pictures of Dewey.
