Blackie
Unfortunately, less than one week before Christmas, Blackie crossed over the rainbow bridge.  We adopted Blackie from the rescue back in 2017, at the ripe old age of 16.  We knew we could give him a good “retirement” home and have a positive impact on his quality of life.  Little did we know the impact he would have on us.  Blackie loved napping around the house, randomly picking and rotating his preferred napping spot.  He greeted and made friends with everyone who came to visit.  He also enjoyed the car rides to Starbucks and the ice cream stand.  I’m sure he is one of the few cats to meet the Easter Bunny and Santa Claus in the same year!  He’s gone from our sight, but never from our hearts.  Thanks so much.

Doobie
I wanted to let you know, we said goodbye to our sweet Doobie this morning. She was such a gift and I am so grateful that you showed her love, then entrusted her to us. She was my dearest friend. Please tell everyone how much she was loved and how grateful I am to everyone who worked to save her

Dewey
Hello Rose's Rescue.  We wanted to let you know that our sweet boy, Dewey, a RR alum, recently crossed over the rainbow bridge on Monday October.  Dewey was his RR name and we kept that name.  He was 13 years old. We adopted him in late 2009 at one of RR's adoption event in Stow when he was 6 months old. He was one of Sadie's 10 puppies when Sadie delivered them on June 15, 2009. Dewey lived a great life, enjoyed the times with his mom and dad.  He loved going to Camp Bow Wow during the day while Mom and Dad were at work.    In 2019, Dewey had his first of 3 melanomas removed.  The other 2 times were removed in the last year.  Unfortunately, the cancer spread to his liver.  Along with his arthritic back legs, we made the humane and most difficult decision to put him to sleep.  Dewey passed away very peacefully and was ready to run in the big sky above where we will see him again someday. We are very heartbroken.  Dewey was an amazing dog who was so full of personality and filled our home with lots of love and joy. Thank you to you RR for letting us adopt him all those years ago.  Here are some of our favorite pictures of Dewey.

Basel
Had to say goodbye to Basel today. He was a special dog and we’re so lucky to have had him for 7 years.

Crash
Today our beloved Crash passed over the rainbow bridge. She was with Roses Rescue when we adopted her 13 years ago. She will be missed.
