Missy
Missy passed away today. Her heath was declining. This is a very sad day for me. Missy was a very sweet girl. I am having her cremated and saving her ashes.

Rikki
Today I said “I’ll see you at Rainbow Bridge “ to another of my Roses Rescue dogs. Today cancer won the fight against Rikki. My sweet girl I adopted when she was 9 months old. I was the foster mom to that litter of pups in 2012. Rikki originally found a home soon after I started fostering the litter. I stayed in touch with the family who adopted her and after a severl months something seemed wrong. I asked Rose to do a welfare check and she did. She found Rikki spending most of her time in a crate and sitting in pee. I remember Rose calling me and saying she took Rikki back whose name at the time was Harlem. She asked if I’d foster her again. I never hesitated saying yes. Rikki came back to me and I worked hard fixing the medical issues Rikki had and training my girl to be the awesome pup I knew she could be. I fell in love with her and officially adopted her and renamed her back to Rikki. Last year Rikki was diagnosed with hypothyroidism and cancerous tumor on her foot which was inoperable. So for 11 3/4 months together Rikki and I battled her cancer. Today she had a vet appointment since her foot cancer had gotten worse. It was eating her foot. We found 3 more tumors growing on her sternum and had begun to spread to her lungs. Another tumor was beginning to grow on her other rear paw. Rikki’s quality of life was gone. The vet felt at this point the kindest thing to do was let Rikki run ahead around the bend at Rainbow Bridge. Although my heart is broken my girl is no longer fighting cancer. I will see her again someday in Gods perfect time at Rainbow Bridge. God speed Rikki, momma loves you forever and always my pretty girl. 11/4/2012 to 7/27/2022

Bizzie
Bizzie came to us in 2017, and today she left us for the rainbow bridge. Her personality was as big as her body and her heart. We are grateful for the unconditional love, wet kisses, and drool she shared with us. We are devastated. We are grateful to all at Rose’s Rescue that take chances on the dogs that humans have failed. Without you, we never would have had the opportunity to have been loved by our goofy girl.

Elizabeth Taylor
Today my heart is broken. Today my first foster failure from Roses Rescue was released to rainbow bridge. Elizabeth “Taylor” was her name at the rescue and stayed her name for life. Taylor was a quirky little girl you couldn’t help but love. She always thought she was “the big dog” I remember when I knew Taylor was going to be my girl and I was gonna be a foster failure. That was when I took her to Ohio to be spayed and how sad she was that I was leaving her. The next day sealed the deal when I picked her up and she did the sweetest happy dance to see her foster mommy (me). From that point forward Taylor was my “tiny tot” Today Taylor lost the battle to cancer. What happened to her is something I can’t and won’t describe. It was horrible. I drove almost 80 miles one way til I found an ER vet that could let my little girl pass peacefully. I know now Taylor is doing her happy dance. She is finally reunited with Brooke and Lilly. Dance pretty sweetheart… momma is going to miss you and love you forever!
