Carmen

It is hard to believe we've had Carmen a month. She loves her walks . We try to go twice a day. She goes at full force when we walk and never slows down which makes a good workout for me. When she comes home she's ready for a lap nap. She's the hit of the neighborhood with the kids. She never barks at the kids but is so excited for them to pet her. She's been really good about meeting people who come to our house. When we walk she's always rolling in the grass. Just wanted you to know she's adjusted beautifully to our home. You probably already know she loves car rides when she can go with us. Fosters love hearing from the new families, and some even keep in contact for years. Keep running, Carmen!

Chip & Cherry

We adopted 2 cats about 2 weeks ago, but they are doing wonderfully! We can't believe we've only had them for 2 weeks- they're officially part of our crazy family😊

Cinnamon*

e have gone through basic training classes with her, and we all did well.   Housebreaking is still a work in progress .  She and Bailey, our Chiweenie, get along well almost all the time.  Cinnamon gets into everything so we have learned to keep nothing, like a snack, unattended.  She freaked out at the Vet when they tried to cut her nails, so we were given a medication to calm her and we will try again next week.  The hoarder who had her had probably never had her nails cut and they were EXTREMELY long when we first met her.  They were cut, I believe, when she was spayed, which was a few days before we got her.  Of course, they were still too long and we are slowly trying to get them to a normal length.  Cinnamon loves to snuggle with both my husband and me.  She is a welcome addition to our home.  I think a nickname for her would be “Mischief.”

ChuckL

Our boy Chuck Fynn was adopted by us on 10/9/14 from Rose's rescue. He is now 12 and a half years old, has arthritis, one shot kidney, and has kidney disease. Everyday we have with him is a gift. He is our sweet boy, and our 7 year old standard poodle keeps him on his toes! Picture is of Chuck Fynn, his "brother" Izzy and my hubby, who is the light of Chuck Fynn's life.

Chloe

Chloe has turned out to be a wonderful dog for us. We lost our beloved Roxy last week and I cannot tell you how grateful I am that Chloe is here with us. She is just a joy to have. I have taken her on the ferry to put in Bay, she has rode in a golf cart at Catawba, and strolled the beach at Vermilion. She has been in her first costume contest dressed as a chicken and was a perfect contestant. She is traveling very well in her little crate in the car. We are hoping to take her to Tennessee with us in November.
